ICARB is holding a series of workshops to determine the rules that should be used to account for carbon in different sectors. Four events, looking at land-use, energy, communities and tourism, will build up to the 5th International Conference on Carbon Accounting, hosted by ICARB in 2013.

Carbon Accounting and Land-use: is it possible to have an integrated land-use planning tool for Scotland?

What would an integrated land-use planning tool for Scotland look like? Discussions will be fielded from a range of stakeholders covering a variety of methods in use. We will tackle what the basic aims of a common planning tool should be, how these aims could be achieved, and a propose a plan of action.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own issues and examples for discussion and a report of this workshop will be taken forward to the International Conference on Carbon Accounting in 2013.

The workshop will be informed by a pre-workshop questionnaire contributed to by sectoral experts.
