The Australian national science agency CSIRO have launched a website collecting together greenhouse gas data collected at the Tasmanian Cape Grim facility which is updated monthly from one of the cleanest air sources in the world.
The data shows the levels of greenhouses gases in the Southern Hemisphere over the last 35 years including:
- carbon dioxide
- methane
- nitrous oxide
- synthetic greenhouse and ozone depleting gases such as CFCs
Cape Grim is only of only three premier Baseline Air Pollution Stations in the World Meteorological Organization-Global Atmosphere Watch (WMO-GAW) network, and the only site in the Southern Hemisphere.
