If you have questions about this workshop pleaseĀ get in touch

This workshop is for designers, specifiers and managers with an interest in embodied/embedded energy and carbon within the built environment.

A short introduction will be given to outline the challenge of designing and specifying low carbon buildings holistically and sustainably. This will be followed by an open forum discussion for all participants. The emphasis will be on identifying current challenges and anticipating future requirements for low carbon building lifecycles; in particular how transparent and usable data can be made available and understandable to building designers and specifiers, without oversimplifying it to a box-ticking exercise.

A summary of the outcomes of the workshop will be published on the ICARB website. If you are intending to bring a problem or issue to the workshop and would like to flag it up in advance please email g.f.menzies@hw.ac.uk.

Please register your intention to attend – it may be necessary to move the event to Heriot Watt University, Riccarton, if interest is very strong.
